When riding at night...

Wear bright clothing and put reflectors on the front, and back, of your bicycle. By doing these simple tasks, motorists, or other pedestrians, can see you. This will decrease the chance of somebody getting hurt.

When riding close to a street...

Be sure to obey all traffic signs and signals you encounter. Never ride against traffic and use proper hand signals. When you coming to a turn or intersection, make eye contact with drivers and look both ways before making your next action.

Before you ride your bike...

Make sure your tires have air in them. Put all loose items in a backpack, and make the pack secure around your back. You also need to check the brakes and chain to ensure they work well. If you have to, have a parent or adult help you tune your bike so it's safe to ride.

Remember to always use a helmet and your brain!
